Information We Process
DIY Chatbot processes account information such as name, email address, and authentication session data so users can sign in and manage chatbots.
The service processes website URLs, indexed website content, knowledge-base entries, customer chat messages, handoff notes, and analytics needed to answer questions and improve support workflows.
Google Calendar Data
When a user connects Google Calendar, DIY Chatbot stores encrypted OAuth tokens and the connected account email so the selected chatbot can schedule meetings.
The app reads FreeBusy information only to calculate available appointment slots. It does not show private event titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations to chatbot visitors or to the AI model.
The app creates calendar events only after an explicit booking confirmation. Created events can include the visitor name, visitor email, meeting time, booking description, invitation, and Google Meet link.
WhatsApp And Messenger Data
When an account owner connects WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, DIY Chatbot stores the connected account identifier and encrypted provider access token. Webhook verification tokens are stored only as one-way hashes.
For supported incoming messages, the service may process sender identifiers, profile or display names, message text, timestamps, and technical delivery identifiers. This information is used to route the message to the selected chatbot, generate and send a response, preserve conversation history, prevent duplicate processing, support human handoff, and provide account analytics.
Message content may be sent to the configured AI service provider only as needed to generate a response. DIY Chatbot does not sell WhatsApp or Messenger message data or use it for third-party advertising.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to provide the chatbot, answer visitor questions from approved knowledge sources, route conversations to human operators, calculate support analytics, and schedule confirmed meetings.
Google Calendar data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train unrelated AI models.
Service Providers And Disclosure
DIY Chatbot shares information only with connected platforms and service providers needed to operate requested features, such as Meta for WhatsApp and Messenger delivery, Google for Calendar scheduling, hosting and database providers, and the configured AI provider for response generation.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the security and integrity of the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
Storage And Security
Provider tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to application data is limited to authenticated users and systems needed to operate the service.
Users can disconnect integrations from the application dashboard. Disconnecting stops new scheduling requests but does not delete calendar events that were already created.
Retention And Deletion
Account, integration, and conversation data is retained while needed to provide the service and until the account owner disconnects the integration or submits a verified deletion request, subject to limited security, legal, and backup-retention requirements.
To request deletion, follow the instructions at https://diychatbot.pateldhananjay.com/data-deletion. Deleting DIY Chatbot data does not automatically delete records held independently by Meta, Google, or another connected provider.
